How to legally get married in Georgia: Getting married in Georgia is fast, simple, and stress-free. If this is the first marriage for both of you, here is a list of documents you will need:

• Valid passports of both partners, with official notary translation to Georgian
• Proof of legal entry to Georgia: visa, e-visa, or residency from a country that grants an exemption from the visa requirement
• Two witnesses for the legal marriage registration: any gender, older than 18 years, Georgian or foreign.

If either partner was previously married, he/she must provide the original divorce certificate, attested with an Apostille or legalization stamp.

What is NOT required: proof of singleness, consent of any third parties, or a specific dress code for the ceremony.
